Nice and sunny, air temp in the nineties and water temp around 80. This surely makes for ideal conditions to dive on Cozumel's splendid reefs including Palancar, Santa Rosa, Punta Tunnich and Punta Sur. The water was clear and the current was running about 2 knots, except Punta Tunnich where we may have had currents as fast as 5-6 knots. We were soaring over the reef. Fast, very fast but still able to spot giant Parrotfish and groupers. Our Dive Ops was Caribbean Divers led by the infamous Cezar made sure we didn't miss anything in our three dives a day and one night dive. We were organized in 5 buddy groups with a DM and stayed together all week. We saw all the usual suspects including turtles, eels, cudas and even Cozumel's own "splendid toadfish".
We stayed at Casa Mexicana in town. Clean, white and very service oriented. A great place. There were several nice places to eat and drink within walking distance. Sunday's around the square were quite colorful and festive.
10 great dives. This is a great place for any diver.
