This was my fourth trip back to Coco View and will I go again . . . DANG STRAIGHT !! The "Dive Biddies Crew" headed back down this May for another week (or two) of sun . . fun . . and ohh yes . . dare I not forget . . DIVING !! The trip down was uneventful unless you don't want to count the "EXTRA BAG CHARGE". Now I know that this has been in existence for a while now, but this was the first time I got taged by it . . TWICE !! I know, its all part of the "Traveling Adventure" !!
We arrived just after lunch and got our bags from the room. I had been dry wayyyyy to long and a "Front Yard" dive was number one on the list !! After getting our weights we assembled our gear and headed for the water. As we walked in each step took us slightly deeper as the warm water slowly seeped into the wet suit . . can you say "AHHHHHHHH" !! The warm water felt soooooooo good as we headed off following the chain out. I had just got out to the channel and I took a quick glimce at my concole. The numbers were hard to read . . and seemed to be fading . . than yep . . it faded altogether . . GRUNT . . NOOOOOOO !! As disapointed as I was for this to happen on my very first dive . . I aborted the dive and swam back in. Fortunately my decision to returned probubly saved my Conra II computer . . thanks to Patty . . she dried it out and I was good to go later on that afternoon (new O Ring and battery improperly installed at my dive shop). Thanks again Patty !!!
Well the next few days followed a regiment of two boat dives in the morning . . back for lunch . . two afternoon boat dives . . . . dinner . . and a night dive if you had enough energy left !! The reef were all very healthy and I was seeing more and more schools of fish in ever larger groups. Mr Kirk was out DM and Dave our boat Captain. We could not have asked for a better crew or boat for that matter !! Being a photographer I am always looking for that special shot of anything that will hold still for a brief second . . lol . . yea RIGHT !! I will tell you for a fact . . Kirk has the eyes of an EAGLE !! That man found some of the coolest things that I still had problems just seeing what he was pointing at !! During thew week we came accross no less that 12 Sea Horses and a bunch of new critters that I could add to my list. I could easily go on and on about the fish that I found, but I am going to let my pictures do that for me, so I hope you enjoy.
The week went by way to fast as all good ones do. Got in 27 dives but could have easily done more. So would I recomend Coco View as a trip to think about . . ABSOLUTELY !! It has been refered to as an "Adult Dive Camp" . . lol . . and I have a tendency to agree . . though the front yard is big enough to make any snorkeler happy, Becky can vouch to that !! So until next time . . when I return home . . I will be officaly be a new member of the COCO NUT listing (happens on your fifth trip down). Well here goes on the pictures . . I sure hope I can enter more that one or two . . :o)
