Underwater camera recommendations

Shopping around for a camera for my trip to Truk next April. Looking at Sealife DC1400 flash and video light setup and the Sea and Sea GEX5. I have read some reviews about the slow shutter speed of the DC1400. Looking for some recommendations. I am a novice at U/W photography, want some easy to use to shoot photo and video, and have a budget around $1200.
