BEHIND THE SHOT: "This image of a Caribbean reef shark was taken in the Bahamas, an island chain famous for healthy shark populations, white sands, crystalline waters and excellent diving conditions." — photo by Sean Gillespie

SETTINGS:

CAMERA: SeaLife Micro HD+
STROBES: Two Sea Dragon 2,000-lumen photo/video/dive lights with flex-connect trays
SETTINGS: f/2.8, 1/200 sec, ISO 100
CONDITIONS: Exposure set to -0.3 with a red filter.

PRO TIP: “This shot is about much more than the shark. The boat adds depth and a story, with the shark blocking the return to the dive boat.”
