Elvin's Plane Wreck

Come check out Curacao’s hottest new dive attraction. Securely moored to the bottom at a depth of 50 feet (15 meters), this 100 foot (30 meter) long Fokker Fairchild 27 jet once had a capacity for 80 passengers. The seats were removed prior to submersion in February 2007, enabling experienced divers to safely swim through the fuselage, with two large open doorways in the tail and one up front. The wreck is situated on a narrow strip of sand, surrounded to all sides by pristine hard corals layered in unique terrace formations, a great place to spot turtles, barracuda, and large morays hiding in the cracks. Located between the renowned sites of Alice in Wonderland and Watamula, Wata Plane Wreck is only a 3 minute boat ride from Ocean Encounters West dock and is offered as a regular one-tank afternoon dive.
