Courtesy of CitizenThe Citizen Promaster Dive Automatic “Fugu” features a black stainless steel case, luminous white dial, blue rotating bezel, and 200-meter water resistance.
The serrated bezel is a distinctive hallmark of this automatic diver, earning it the nickname Fugu, the Japanese word for “puffer fish.” First introduced in 1989, the design continues to reflect the rugged performance and character of Citizen’s Promaster dive watch line.
This model features a 44 mm black stainless-steel case with an engraved pufferfish on the caseback and comes paired with a durable blue polyurethane strap. The white dial is fully luminous, providing exceptional low-light visibility underwater and in dark environments.
A blue aluminum one-way rotating bezel frames the dial, and the watch is depth-rated to 200 meters (656 feet), making it suitable for recreational diving and everyday wear.
Why We Love It
The fully luminous dial ensures the entire watch face remains clearly legible in low-light and nighttime conditions.
