TEST STATS Real-World Performance: 3 (GOOD)
The Integra JX7000 is so new that several sizes weren’t shipping at the time of our tests. A budget BC that contin- ues the company’s trend toward big jackets with plenty of lift, it’s a good bet that users will be able to fit into a size smaller than they usually wear, as our testers discov- ered. For those requiring lots of lift (drysuit divers or those wearing thick wetsuits), the JX7000 had the highest buoyant lift in this test group, with the XL rated at over 60 pounds. Our test BC actually pro- vided 23 percent more lift than manufacturer’s specs, but more lift isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and the inflator and dump valve assemblies worked well, eas- ily handling the large volumes of air. The test team also rated the weight system very good.
