HMAS Swan, Western Australia
One of Australia’s most lauded wreck dives, the former Australian Navy destroyer escort HMAS Swan sits tucked away off the southwest corner of the country, about 150 miles south of Perth in the state of Western Australia. Standing upright on the bottom of protected Geographe Bay, HMAS Swan has holes cut into its hull to allow easy penetration of the bridge, and the ship boasts a healthy population of Indian Ocean marine life, like the batfish that keep watch from the picturesque crow’s-nest.
