Scuba App Review: PADI

Scuba App Review: PADI

Scuba App Review: PADI

PADI
****Version:
1.0
Price: Free
Platform: iPhone, iPod and iPad

Description: A PADI Dive Center and Resort locator app that contains contact information and Five Star status for PADI Dive Centers and Resorts and is designed to locate all PADI Dive Center and Resort locations around the world.

Pros: PADI’s app is a quick way to find a PADI Dive Center or Resort and it's very simple to use.

Cons: It will only find PADI Dive Centers and PADI Resorts. If you're looking for a dive center or charter in general, google will be faster and more diverse.

Bottom Line: I was disappointed with this app because I expected a lot more. I was hoping for a useful app that had my PADI dive tables in it or an iPhone version of the eRDP. I could see great potential for dive operators if they could use the app to look up someone's C-card or to be a place to digitally store C-cards. If you're only looking for a PADI Dive center, it will find you one quickly, but if you're looking for more, a google search is better. Hopefully, this is just the start for PADI on the iPhone.
