Baja - Solmar V - Scuba Resources
The Solmar V is a 112' luxury live-aboard dive vessel based in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico since 1992. Now under new ownership, the Solmar V is a true four-season live-aboard that takes advantage of weather patterns to offer optimal diving year-round at world-class dive destinations.
From November through May we journey 250 miles south of Cabo to the Socorro Islands to dive with giant mantas, hammerheads, dolphins, sharks, and an occasional migrating humpback. Often referred to as "The Mexican Galapagos", this is remote adventure diving at its finest.
In June and October we visit the Sea of Cortez, one of the youngest and most fertile seas on earth. We've been diving here for over 25 years and call it home.
In August and September we are based in Ensenada, Mexico to cruise 180 miles offshore to Guadalupe Island to follow the ultimate apex predator, the great white shark! Our custom-built shark cages combined with a hookah system offers the ultimate great white shark experience for both divers and non-divers.
