Sherwood Scuba Offers Limited-Edition Wyland Scuba Cylinders

You may not want to dive with this beautifully decorated Catalina scuba cylinder and instead keep it as a work of art. Through its network of authorized dealers, Sherwood Scuba is offering a limited-edition Catalina scuba cylinder with a lithograph of an octopus that world-renowned artist Wyland painted in the Sherwood Scuba booth at DEMA 2016. These cylinders are available from dive retailers across North America. Portions of the proceeds of every sale will be given to The Wyland Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting, protecting, and preserving the world’s ocean, waterways, and marine life ocean conservation.

The Wyland Foundation supports a number of ocean-conservation initiatives, including a student national art challenge, the National Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation and Earth Month Heroes.

CRAZY FACT: A favorite of divers when found on the reef, octopuses are considered extremely intelligent. They've even been observed using tools. In 2009, scientists discovered that veined octopuses (Amphioctopus marginatus) pick up discarded coconut shells and use them like mobile homes.
