I've been seeing Lionfish all over the place off Miami Beach. Here is one I photographed at 80 feet. They are beautiful, but a nuisance.
My dive guide spotted this very rare creature floating at the surface. I immediately started taking photos of it, not knowing what it was. Later it was discovered to be a blanket octopus which is very rarely seen alive, let alone photographed. It was an amazing encounter, one that I will probably never see again.

This photo was taken on Molasses Reef in Key Largo. I saw four turtles on one dive which I've never seen before. This friendly turtle let me get very close to take several photos before he surfaced.
