For divers, Scuba Club Cozumel gets right to the point. There’s no messing around with spas or sightseeing tours; you just check in, drop your bags and hit the water. With easy access to Cozumel’s high-adrenaline drift diving –– the closest sites to the resort are only a 10-minute boat ride –– you’ll never be far from the underwater action, including popular sites like Chankanaab and Palancar, where large caverns and tunnels teem with marine life. You can also explore the massive wreck of the Felipe Xicotencatl C-53, a gunboat in the Mexican army that was purposely scuttled in 1999. And if a full day of diving from the boat isn’t enough, you can go for a night dive packed with macro life right off the resort’s deck, which has a staircase for easy access to shore diving (which, by the way, is unlimited).
