Great Experience with Indigo Divers

My wife and I are newly certified divers (June 09); our first vacation with diving as a part of the itinerary was to Grand Cayman. We chose Indigo Divers as our Cayman Island dive experts based on trip reports as I am writing now. It was an excellent choice of a local Cayman dive partner. Indigo is manned by the husband and wife team of Katie and Chris Alpers. They made our first diving experience very memorable, both are wonderfully personable and were very welcoming. At the same they were both very knowledgeable of the local dive sites and were able to point out many aspects of the underwater scenery(Gayles Mountain and Blue Pinnacles) that we simply would not have seen or noticed but for them. Chris actually uses an underwater pointer to focus the dive teams attention on items of interest, I found that especially helpful as a new diver. We booked our vacation very near to our departure date, and Katie was very helpful accomodating our dive needs, including calling us at our request during our Cayman stay to see if we wanted to fill in for a very late cancellation. My suggestion is to call them in advance of your trip, book your weeklong diving needs with them, I know we will. Their excursions normally only take up to six divers at a time and their rates are competitive, so they fill up quick. We had a wonderful time in the Caymans, and we will return.
