First Place
Macro: Live-aboard dive package for two to the Northeastern Caribbean. Package includes double accommodations aboard Caribbean Explorer II, all meals (except Friday night dinner) and up to five dives daily. Travel must be completed by May 1, 2010. Taxes, gratuities, transfers, airfare, fuel surcharge (if applicable), rental equipment, port charges, crew gratuities, and other onboard charges are not included. This certificate is non-transferrable. $3390 value. |
Wide Angle: Includes 5 nights deluxe oceanfront room accommodations, round-trip airport transfer, 3 days of 2-tank local boat dives, full breakfast daily, welcome rum or fruit punch, marine park fees, site user fees, all taxes & service charges on package features. Based on availability and blackout dates may apply. Value: $2230. |
Marine Life: Includes 8 day, 7 night all-inclusive live-aboard cruise departing Nassau, Bahamas to the Exuma Cays. Airfare, port tax, fuel surcharge, park fee and crew gratuity are additional. Reservations may be confirmed 21 days prior to intended cruise date. Travel dates are valid from September 2009–March 2010. $2295.00 value. |
Topside: Includes 7 nights ocean view room with breakfast and 6 days of no-limit shore diving, plus 3 two-tank boat dives. Blackout dates include the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. Trip must be taken by May 1, 2010. Value approximately $1400 per person. |

All prizes are non-transferable and winners cannot receive the cash value in place of the actual prize.
Rules
The competition is open to photographers anywhere in the world. Only original photos taken by the entrant will be considered.
All entries must be digital files on CD-ROM accompanied by an official entry form or facsimile and entry fees. You may enter work in any and all categories; there is no limit to the number of images you may submit. You may mail all your entries in one envelope. Incomplete entry forms—such as those without telephone numbers will be disqualified.
Each image constitutes a single entry. The fees are $10 per entry.
Make checks payable (in U.S. funds, drawn on a U.S. bank) to Scuba Diving Photo Contest. Payment must accompany entries. Entries received without payment will be disqualified. Entry fees are nonrefundable. One check may be used to cover multiple entries if all entries are submitted in the same package.
When paying by credit card, be sure to complete the credit card information requested on the entry form.
Only digital files accepted. Digital files may be submitted in jpeg or tiff format, on CD-ROM only. Multiple entries may be submitted on a single CD-ROM. Images must be no less than 300 dpi at 8.5 x 11 inches. The following information must be included on each CD-ROM: your name, address, phone number and category or categories you are entering. Submissions will not be accepted via email.
Prints or slides will not be accepted as entries. Entries will not be returned.
All entries must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2009.
All winners will be notified by May 15, 2009. The results will not be made public until they are published in Scuba Diving. Non-winning entrants will not be individually notified of the results. Your cancelled check or credit-card charge will be notification for receipt of your entry. Include a self-addressed, stamped postcard if you want to be notified directly of your entry's receipt.
