Video Footage of Underwater Earthquake in the Philippines

A group of divers recently experienced a 5.7 magnitude earthquake underwater while diving near Mabini, Batangas, Philippines. The footage was shot on April 8, and shows the bottom of the ocean floor shaking and moving.

"It felt like there was a huge propeller of a big boat turning around directly above us, we heard underwater the trembling of rocks under the ground and we felt the shock wave, it hurt our ears, feeling heavy breathing and sudden changes in pressure."

Said Jan Paul Rodriguez, the diver responsible for capturing the video footage during their descent. Footage was originally posted to his Facebook page where it has now been viewed more than 770,000 times.

According to Newsflare, the dive leader and his group aborted the dive and known of the divers were injured. This same earthquake caused panic amongst land goers and could be felt in the Metro Manila area.
