Made with low-impact (ecologically) recycled materials and innovative manufacturing methods, the Everflex 3/2mm No Zip steamer offers the fit, form and function Everflex steamers are famous for. It also holds the distinction of being SCUBAPRO’s most flexible steamer.
By eliminating all zippers you also eliminate all rigid points, resulting in a soft, warm, comfortable suit that’s easy to get in and out of and that offers unbelievable range of motion. A fused-cut finish on the neck, wrists and ankles maximizes the material’s stretchiness for easy donning and doffing, and the comfortable inner lining enhances warmth and dries quickly.
But while the Everflex 3/2mm No Zip stands head-and-shoulders above others in warmth, comfort and flexibility, what makes it truly special is the way it’s made. The revolutionary manufacturing process that created the Everflex 3/2mm No Zip doesn’t just minimize the impact on the environment, its use of renewable resources actually helps the environment.
The Everflex 3/2mm No Zip is built with Naturalprene, an all-natural latex rubber that replaces both traditional petroleum-based and limestone-based neoprene. Naturalprene is a neoprene blend that comes primarily from rubber trees harvested from renewable rubber tree farms. (At the end of a long latex producing cycle, these trees are used for the manufacture of lumber, so nothing is wasted.) SCUBAPRO is the first to offer this to the diving market, better protecting divers and our oceans.
Naturalprene uses a carbon black additive made from recycled tires rather than petroleum. (Carbon black is added to the neoprene formula to prevent “aging” from UV.) It is layered inside and out with a polyester jersey fabric made from recycled plastic bottles, and the Naturalprene panels are assembled using a solvent-free, water-based adhesive called Aqua glue that is tough as nails while eliminating the use of harmful chemicals.
