Anse Chastanet is set amid a lush 600-acre estate with two soft-sand beaches and breathtaking views of Saint Lucia’s twin Piton Mountains. Reflecting the environmental philosophy of its owner/architect, Nick Troubetzkoy, the resort is designed in harmony with its natural surroundings. 37 rooms are scattered about a lush hillside and 12 are set within a tropical garden at beach level.
Anse Chastanet emphasizes the use of local woods and other local products in decor and furnishings using colorful cotton fabrics called madras, the island's "national cloth". Even the resort bathrobes are locally made.
Its three restaurants – one level with the tree tops, one beachside — serve cuisine with fruits and vegetables picked fresh from the resort’s organic farm. Making the most of Saint Lucia’s lush tropical beauty, activities range from jungle biking, hiking, and bird watching to snorkeling on the reef within swimming distance of the beach, relaxing in the tranquil Kai Belté Spa, or just swaying in a hammock by the sea. Sharing the same property, Jade Mountain is a beautifully designed resort within a resort, offering expansive accommodations each with their own private infinity pool.
The resort’s PADI Five Star diving operation, Scuba St. Lucia, caters to beginners and experienced divers alike. Situated on Anse Chastanet beach, in the heart of the Soufriere Marine Management Area, Scuba St. Lucia is one of the Caribbean’s top diving destinations. Nitrox is available. Beach, boat, wall and wreck diving are all offered, and the night dives on the Anse Chastanet reef are a highlight for any diver.
