Secluded beaches, captivating scenery and warm waters put the Eastern Caribbean island of St. Kitts and Nevis on the map for must-dive Caribbean Islands. Situated in the Eastern Caribbean, St. Kitts and Nevis is bordered by not one but two bodies of water, giving you the opportunity to dive in both the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Dive sites around St. Kitts range from near-shore reefs to the gorgeous River Taw, one of the most photogenic wrecks in the Caribbean. The island is a major nesting ground for giant leatherbacks, which can be sighted between March and May. Divers will have plenty to keep them engaged underwater — don't miss Paradise Reef, an undulating coral canyon. St. Kitts' sister island, Nevis also offers a wealth of diving off its western shore and in the channel between the two islands.

Only 65 square miles, St. Kitts offers something for everyone, whether you are searching for adventure or a relaxing escape. Boutique beach hotels and plantation inns account for the majority of accommodations on the two islands. But if it's luxury you seek, big players like the Marriott and Four Seasons will cater to your every wish while still paying homage to the low-key island vibe. You'll be rewarded by spectacular views when hiking Mount Liamuiga on the western side of the Island. Rainforest tours and scenic railroads are among visitors favorite activities.

Although smaller in size, (only 36 sq miles), Nevis offers large-scale adventure and The Nevis Peak Hike has become a traveler favorite. With unspoiled views of the surrounding Caribbean islands, the Nevis Peak Hike shouldn't be overlooked. From St. Kitts, you can make it over to Nevis by water taxi or quick inter-island flight.

Whether you choose to experience St. Kitts, Nevis or both, this unspoiled slice of the Caribbean will not disappoint.
