Scuba Diving magazine had a chance to catch up with 2013 Sea Hero of the Year Rick MacPherson at DEMA Las Vegas to discuss his past year since winning the award, and his plans for the future.

Coral-reef crusader and conservationist Ken Nedimyer was named Sea Hero of the Year by Oris Watches North America and _Scuba Diving_ magazine at the 2014 DEMA show. For his work restoring the reefs all across the globe, Nedimyer received a check for $5,000 to continue further restoration efforts.

Every year, Scuba Diving magazine and Oris Watches give the Sea Hero of the Year award to someone working to save our seas and promote marine conservation. After a year's worth of amazing Sea Heroes, we are proud to announce Ken Nedimyer as our 2014 Sea Hero of the Year for his work fostering coral reef restoration around the globe.

Oceanographer Carrie Manfrino works in Little Cayman Island to protect and grow coral reefs. For that, she is a Scuba Diving Sea Hero.
