Help Us Celebrate Sea Heroes

This year marks our third of selecting one person each issue who is working tirelessly to protect our oceans through education, conservation and action. Sponsored by Oris, the Sea Heroes awards recognize individuals who make significant contributions in the area of ocean and marine-life conservation — everyday people who not only make a difference, but also inspire the rest of us with their dedication.

We’d like your input in locating these Sea Heroes, so please help us by nominating anyone you know who deserves the award. To nominate someone, please fill out the nomination form below, providing the name and email address of the person you’re selecting, along with a brief description of why you think he or she deserves  to win. Scuba Diving editors will review all of the nominations to determine the winner of each issue’s Sea Hero.

Each individual selected as a Sea Hero will be profiled in Scuba Diving and receive an Oris TTI Diver’s Date watch. Even better, at the end of 2013, the editors will select one of the year’s Sea Heroes and award them with Sea Hero of the Year. This individual will be featured in the magazine and awarded $5,000 to further their conservation work, courtesy of Oris.
