Vertical walls , lush reefs and fascinating marine lifebeckon divers to this Caribbean isle. This island's massive peaks known as the Pitons give visitors an idea of what the underside of the island must be like. Wall dives are incredible and the coral reefs are pristine and well-intact thanks to government regulation of the diving industry and the light currents that cleanse the marine life. Currents sometimes permit drift diving and divers won't be disappointed in almost every spot with visibility reaching 75ft or more. Shore and wreck dives are also available. The diving around the Anse Chastanet is a good area as well as the Lesleen M wreck on the west side of the island. Unique creatures can be spotted in the waters of St. Lucia, namely seahorses, octopus, and electric rays.
