Habitat Curacao

Habitat Curacao personifies the Antillean dive philosophy of diving freedom - the dive masters respect your skills and abilities and allow you to plan your own profiles and dive as you wish. This may come as a shock to many American divers, but that's simply because they haven't yet discovered what Euro divers have known for a long time: Curacao has great diving, and Habitat Curacao is the place to go to experience it. Located on the southwest coast of this cosmopolitan island, Habitat Curacao was built with divers in mind. Gear lockers and rinse tanks are dockside, there are separate docks for shore and boat diving, air is available 24 hours a day, and two-tank dives can be done morning or afternoon. The crew speaks a Babelian number of languages and can instruct in them as well - English, Dutch, German, Spanish and Papiamento are all available. Dive courses from entry-level resort courses to assistant instructor, along with specialties such as nitrox and rebreathers that are also available. A complete photo shop, honchoed by Habitat's resident photo pro offers clinics, E-6 processing, rentals, repairs - you name it. There's also a fully stocked dive shop where you can pick up a mask strap you broke or a bathing suit you forgot. It's also where the dive operations manager can fix just about anything you're liable to break during your trip. Curacao is surrounded by a fringing reef located some 50 to 200 yards offshore, similar in setup to its well known sister island. The reef off Curacao seems a bit wilder, a bit more challenging, however. Maybe it's just that you'll rarely feel crowded, or maybe the reef really is a little wilder. If you haven't dived Curacao, you're really missing a spectacular little island ... both above and below water. And a good way to see it all is with Habitat Curacao.
