Divers Alert Network® (DAN®) has announced its decision to dedicate 100 percent of its 2016 year-end charitable contributions to first-aid initiatives designed to ensure critical programs and products are available to the industry operators, dive professionals and divers who most need them.

DAN’s 2015 year-end fundraising proceeds were directed to the DAN Oxygen and EO2 Matching Grants. The immense success of the campaign allowed DAN to increase the number of oxygen units available to divers, create a more diverse oxygen program and protect more divers from injury.

“Thanks to all of our donors and their contributions to the DAN’s Oxygen Grant programs, we were able to provide emergency oxygen units to operators and dive professionals – worldwide – who could not otherwise afford this necessary life-saving equipment,” said DAN President and CEO Bill Ziefle. “We found that by directing year-end donations toward a single initiative the impact of our generous donors benefits a greater number of divers.”

To build upon to last year’s success, DAN will dedicate 2016 year-end tax-deductible donations to provide the support necessary to ensure our first-aid programs and products are available to a greater number of dive operators, dive professionals and divers worldwide.
