HMI Lights

Can you imagine diving in a cave and have it illuminated as bright as daylight? It is possible with the HMI lights, available at the Palau Underwater Photo Festival. The HMI lights originally used as a cool substitute for high heat producing carbon-arc lights, the day light balanced light has become the standard of the motion picture and still photography. HMI are four times more efficient than other lighting and are the most advance concept in motion and still photography. The same quality and intensity of light that you would expect to find in a studio. The two lights are connected with 350 ft UW cables and with surface generator supply source. The two lights provide 1200 watts, color temperature is 5600 k. Night dives become the most surrealistic with special UV filter (280 nanometer) that is attached to the lights. Corals and fish become amazingly colorful with this UV filter. A special treat for photographers to use lights and filters that the pros at National Geographic use.
