Located off the southern tip of the island, it started as a fishing spot for locals, but the fish bait and the sound of the boats attracted so many nurse sharks and bat rays it became a popular spot for tourists. On the way to a dive spot our boat stopped at Shark Ray Alley, a narrow channel between the island and the reef offshore. The boat captain revved the engines a few times, and within minutes we were surrounded by more than fifty rays and sharks. This nurse shark was as curious as I was and we met head on underwater!
