Photos of a defaced coral with writing etched into it caused a bit of an uproar on social media. Bali resort OK Divers posted photos to its Facebook page after finding the damage caused to the coral by "careless divers" last week.

OK Divers – which says that the divers responsible came forward and apologized – posted the photos to spread a conservation message. "We at OK Divers understand better than most, how frustrated many of you are to have seen this, however - we do ask you not to see it as a problem of race, color or nationality and refrain from racist comments and attacks.

"Instead think of what we all can do to prevent such things from happening and how we can protect the precious underwater world."
