The brand new 50-meter training pool at Lions Dive & Beach Resort was officially opened in January 2009. The pool, named in honor of the famed U.S. swimming coach Doug Stern, is the first of its kind in the Caribbean. The pool was dedicated by neurologist and bestselling author Oliver Sacks in the company of the entire Doug Stern Swimming Clinic, of which Oliver Sacks has been a member for a number of years. "This pool, in combination to the other great facilities we have available, makes Lions Dive a complete training resort, welcoming divers, mountain bikers, cyclists, swimmers, exercise enthusiasts and all others with an active lifestyle," said General Manager Will Vogels.

The 2-bedroom apartments and oceanfront suites have been tested by several (critic) repeating guests, and they enthusiastically approved!
