A New Dancer Arrives April 2008!
Miami, FL Peter Hughes Diving, Inc., and P.T. Indonesia Cruises are very excited to announce the commissioning of Paradise Dancer to the Dancer Fleet. Based in Indonesia, the new Dancer will operate seasonal itineraries exploring the top dive areas in the North Sulawesi and Thailand regions beginning in April 2008. This will be the largest vessel in the Dancer Fleet coming in at 43 meters (141 feet) in length. Constructed out of wood, she will be a three masted motor schooner inspired by majesty of the US Schooners circa the 1800. The interior style will be that of a "floating boutique resort" and will reflect the upscale nature of our guests. In addition to the traditional salon areas there will be an indoor lounge that will feature an "e-center" for guests to work on digital photography. There will also be a large covered outdoor dining area and an upper sun deck. Standard Dancer Fleet amenities set the atmosphere of the floating boutique resort. Available on all Dancer Fleet vessels are complimentary use of bathrobes in each room, morning beverage service delivered to your door, fresh towels daily, fresh towels after each dive, mid-week linen changes, a served dinner each night, and evening turn down service. All of the state rooms will be larger than traditional liveaboard state rooms, each with private ensuite facilities and air conditioning. Deluxe staterooms are an incredible 227 square feet. For comparisons, RCCL's "Freedom of the Seas" only offers 161 square feet in an Ocean view room. The eight deluxe staterooms sleep two guests each in two twin beds that can be converted to a king. There also is a 420 square foot "Master & Commander Suite" at the stern of the main deck that features a king size bed, separate sitting area with a sofa, and table with chairs that reminds guests of the "captains quarters" from the schooner design that inspired her. All trips on Paradise Dancer will be 11 nights in duration with 9 1/2 days of diving featuring 4-5 dives per day. Beginning April 2008 through September, she will explore the remote areas of Indonesia and will base out of North Sulawesi. Here divers will visit Bunaken Marine Park and Bangka Strait to the walls of fishes and underwater volcanoes of the Sangihe Islands and unusual and rarely seen critters of Lembeh Strait. A new Thailand itinerary is being planned for November, 2008 through March, 2009. According to the vessel's managing partner, Guido Brink, "Our goal is to build the finest liveaboard vessel in the region and then put it in the best diving locations during the best diving season for that area."
