In celebration of Earth Week 2008 the National Trust for the Cayman Islands is holding its annual Earth Week logo and t-shirt design competition. Students aged 10-12 were invited to enter the competition and help design the Earth Week 2008 logo.

The grand prize is a day-trip for two to Little Cayman with a National Trust guide. The lucky winner and a friend will participate in activities such as kayaking and exploring and will be introduced to Little Cayman rock iguanas, red-footed boobies and other wildlife that makes Little Cayman unique. Lunch is also included and there will be prizes for second and third place.

Entries reflect this year's theme in celebration of the 2008 International Year of the Reef: "Advocate healthy oceans, protect Cayman's marine life." The logo will be used in promotional materials for Earth Week and other events and will be used as the design for the Earth Week 2008 t-shirt.
