The itinerary is in compliance with Galapagos National Park regulations, but one thing remains unchanged about Darwin’s “Enchanted Islands”—dive after dive, they deliver an ocean buffet of big animals like none other on Earth.

All dives are made from two dive tenders, which are capable of zipping you to where the action is. At every site, you’ll back roll into a flash mob of fish that put on a jaw-dropping display of power and beauty. It is not uncommon to be mesmerized by a school of jacks or snappers only to have a hawksbill turtle, curious sea lion or even a whale shark materialize behind you. Our tip: Scan the water for 360 degrees at all times so you don’t miss anything.

Your introduction to Galapagos diving begins at either Punta Carrion (Santa Cruz Island) or Bartolome Punta. Anything and everything can show up at these sites, but rays, turtles and sharks are not uncommon visitors. In the afternoon, you can hike to Bartolome Summit and take a panga ride to Pinnacle Rock. Depending on the time of year, your next stop on the itinerary will take you to either Wolf and Darwin Island, where the underwater smorgasbord may include Galapagos sharks, hammerheads, eagle rays, schools of tuna and wahoo, and silky sharks. Both islands are on the itinerary multiple times, so you’ll get to sample this buffet more than once.

“This was hands down the best vacation we have ever had. The boat was incredible, the food was excellent, the service was amazing, the diving was well organized and we got to see everything.” - Stephen C

Cabo Douglas on Fernandina Island features some of the creatures that are found only in these islands, such as Galapagos penguins and iguanas. Sea lions, red-lipped batfish, lobsters and marbled rays may share the ocean with you at Isabela Island’s Punta Vicente Roca and Cabo Marshall. Topside, you may see flightless cormorants, blue-footed boobies, brown pelicans and frigate birds. Cousins Rock is another highlight on the itinerary. Massive schools of barracuda can gather in the current just off the rock, and curious Galapagos sea lions may dive-bomb past you.

This is a destination that’s truly difficult to describe in a few hundred words—it’s one you need to experience for yourself to believe the incredible abundance of life that’s found here.
