Oceanic's New HERA Women's-Specific BC

Impressive New Design developed specifically for the unique needs of the female diver

Oceanic Worldwide announced today that it will unveil its latest BCD, the HERA, at the upcoming DEMA Trade Show in Orlando. The new model, named after the mythical Greek figure Hera, stands out because of the many adjustable features that provide extra comfort and function for women who scuba dive.

The HERA features a patented Custom Fit Harness with a multi-position shoulder strap that delivers individual comfort for women of all sizes. The BioFlex Hybrid bladder combines the benefits of both rear-inflation and jacket style BCDs, while the one-of-a-kind cummerbund allows for up to eight inches of adjustments.

Incorporating many of Oceanic's patented design elements, the HERA also features an integrated weight system that accommodates up to 20 pounds with supplemental five pound weight pounces for improved in-water positioning and proper trim.

"The best way to create a new product is to talk to divers and in this case, women divers," says Doug Krause, Oceanic Marketing Manager. "As a result, we've built a BC that includes features women have asked for, performance they have demanded and style they like to experience. The HERA is being unveiled at DEMA and will be available through Oceanic dealers in time for the upcoming 2007 dive season."

Krause said standard accessories available on the HERA include pre-bent stainless steel d-rings, an integrated retractor mount and Spinner BC Knife mounting grommets.
