WHAT TO BRING

Travel Documents and Entry/Departure Requirements: Citizens of the United States are required to have passports in order to re-enter that country, therefore a valid passport is a required travel document when traveling to the Caribbean. Citizens of Canada need only to present proof of citizenship (either a passport or birth certificate) in order to enter St. Kitts-Nevis. If the birth certificate is used, it must be accompanied by a government issued photo ID (a drivers license, for example) showing the same name.

Additionally, proof of a return ticket might be required. There is a departure tax of about $22 US payable in cash, or by credit card, at the airport.

Make sure you are aware of travel requirements prior to leaving for St. Kitts. Click here for information regarding changes to the entry/re-entry requirements according to the United States Department of State. If you would like to apply for a United States Passport now, please click here.

Citizens of some countries are required to have visas in order to enter St. Kitts-Nevis. Please check with the government website to see if your country appears on this list. If it does, you'll need to obtain a visa application form, fill it out out and submit it .

What to Wear: Light summer clothing may be worn all year. Dress is informal, even at elegant hotels and plantation inns, though you may want to dress up a bit for a nice dinner. Nudity is not permitted at any beach. Swim wear or scant clothing should never be worn in towns or villages.

  • Floppy hat
