BELIZE - WHAT TO BRING Entry Requirements With the exception of cruise ship passengers, all visitors to Belize must present a valid passport before entering the country. Entry with driver's licenses and birth certificates are no longer acceptable travel documents and can't be used to enter the country. Passports must be valid at least up until time of departure. If a visitor remains in the country for over 30 days, an extension must be requested. Extensions are available at the Immigration Department in Belize City. Visas United States nationals do not require visas: other nationals of the following countries do not need visas as well: Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, United States of America, Venezuela, CARICOM member states and members of the European Union.

What to Pack:You'll want to bring the typical items you'd want with you when traveling to any dive destination in a tropical locale, including:
- Sunglasses
- Eco sun block, if possible
- Hats
- Flip-flops
- Water shoes
- Walking/hiking shoes
- Backpacks
- Travel first aid kit
- Small electronics, if needed
- Lightweight summer clothing
- Camera/film
- Your own beach towels
- Zippy plastic bags for carrying small lotions or beach finds
- Masks/fins/snorkel if you like
