Boxed Callout

Immerse yourself in irresistible beauty and endless discovery on Saint Lucia. Learn about all the possibilities and special promotions offered by Anse Chastanet Resort. Divers should also view the dive deals in collaboration with the resort’s dive operation Scuba St. Lucia.

What do you do between dives, when you’re waiting for your next visit to the reef? I’m not talking about your surface interval — the period of a time you spend on the boat or shore between dives, allowing your body time to release any residual nitrogen — but rather, the hours you spend back at the resort or hotel in between the day’s underwater explorations?

Conservation Efforts You’ll Fall in Love With

It all begins with the resort’s passion for protecting the island’s natural resources and its approach to “sustainable luxury.” Every aspect of the resort — its accommodations, outdoor spaces and dive operation — is committed to minimizing their environmental impact while contributing positively to the local community. Anse Chastanet achieves this by implementing waste reduction practices including their own water bottling plant and conserving natural habitats. The resort is proactively engaged in sustainable environmental practices, such as using an onsite wastewater treatment facility, natural lighting during daylight hours, fuel-efficient vehicles, bulk dispensers for shampoos and soaps in public areas, and a system for composting organic waste. Guests are able to learn about the ecology of the local region, including local environmental protection efforts during their stay at the resort. Year-round, they have the opportunity to participate in conservation activities such as reef cleaning, beach cleaning and tree planting. The resort now has their own coral nursery and there are a number of reef life and renewal activities offered for guests to partake in. Each April, the resort celebrates sustainability and Earth Day by hosting culinary experiences that feature seasonal organic ingredients from its Emerald Estate Farm, which produces organic vegetables, micro greens, fruits, spices, nuts and herbs, as well as artisanal chocolate.

Cultural Experiences You’ll Fall in Love With

Speaking of chocolate, Saint Lucia’s history associated with cocoa dates back to the 1700s. At Anse Chastanet Resort, there are more than 2,000 cocoa trees, including the ones found at the Emerald Estate Farm’s Chocolate Laboratory. Here, guests can participate in making hand-crafted chocolate. And of course, chocolate lovers will adore the chocolate-inspired dishes, cocktails and body treatments in the resort restaurants, bars and spa. If chocolate really excites you, check out the rates in Anse Chastanet’s Dan Dous (“Sweet Tooth” in creole patois) package.

Yes, the resort’s Kai Belté Spa (Creole patois for “House of Beauty”) has a chocolate-infused treatment, as well as a host of other treatments — including Swedish and deep-tissue massages, aromatherapy sessions and foot reflexology — that blend both contemporary and ancient methods of rejuvenating therapy. The spa’s products are made from organic ingredients that are grown at the Emerald Estate Farm.

Watersport Adventures You’ll Fall in Love With

If you love watersports, such as snorkeling, ocean kayaking, paddle boarding, windsurfing and sunfish sailing, you’ll love the possibilities at Anse Chastanet. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches — Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin — on Saint Lucia’s southwestern coast. It is nestled in the heart of the island’s marine reserves, two crystal-clear bays that protect miles of coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. Walk into the water off the beach, and you’ll discover that the resort is mere yards from some of the most beautiful coral reefs on the island. This shallow house reef, in calm, clear water, is ideal for snorkelers, the perfect activity for both divers and nondivers who love being in the water and seeing colorful tropical fish. Anse Chastanet Reef is home to more than 150 different species of fish. The resort offers complimentary snorkel equipment to its guests. The Amazing Adventure package is perfect for vacationers who like to be active on their vacations.
