Key Dives, on the island of Islamorada, runs daily dive charters with the aim of not only showing guests the beauty of local sites but inspiring them to become reef stewards.

Through I.CARE, Key Dives customers have planted thousands of corals. The PADI dive center also hosts reef cleanup dives every month, and has removed over 22,000 pounds of debris in the past five years. Key Dives donates 2 percent of gross diving proceeds to reef restoration.

Their overarching mission is to protect and improve local reefs, including the famous Alligator Reef, home to a rainbow of fish, from blue tang and parrotfish to angelfish and damselfish.

And Key Dives runs a full valet service, setting up your equipment and then rinsing it and storing it after each charter. Divers need only show up ready for another day of adventure.

2024 Readers Choice Awards

Key Dives won a total of seven awards this year, including first place in Quality of Dive Boats, Quality of Rental Gear, Quality of Staff, Attention to Safety and Best Overall.
