“That’s the good thing about a small shop,” says Mirta Marozzi, who co-owns the on-site PADI dive shop. “We’re never in a rush.”
“People come here knowing it’s a very personal experience because of the size that we are,” says Pasquale Paonessa, Las Rocas’ congenial co-owner, who gave up a career in business in Italy to start the resort in 1996. “We have a lot of repeat guests who come again and again.
“Modern life moves at a very fast pace,” he says, smiling as he recalls his escape from the rat race. “That doesn’t apply here.”
