A lifelong advocate for the ocean, Georgienne Bradley has spent decades exploring, photographing, and writing about the underwater world. She is a SCUBA Diving Magazine “Sea Hero,” a 2025 NOGI Award honoree, an Inductee of the Women Divers Hall of Fame, and an SSI Platinum Pro—a suite of accolades reflecting her influence across the dive community. Bradley’s underwater imagery and articles have appeared on more than 200 magazine covers and feature stories, and her books and educational materials are used internationally. Her groundbreaking documentation of shark finning at Cocos Island—where she lived for months with park guards—helped propel the movement that secured the island’s UNESCO World Heritage status. She later co-authored the first comprehensive photographic guide to Costa Rica's marine life. As co-founder of Sea Save Foundation and Bradley Ireland Productions, Bradley continues to use visual storytelling and science-driven advocacy to protect sharks, rays, and fragile marine ecosystems. Through every expedition, image, and page, she strives to inspire divers to champion the ocean she has dedicated her life to documenting and defending.
