Canon G11 Powerhouse

Every single day the gap between my fancy DSLR and the digital point-and-shoot category diminishes. I've seen images from Canon's G-series of point-and-shoots win grand prizes at prestigious underwater photo contests, much to the chagrin of my DSLR system. With the G-series' incredible versatility in moving between macro and wide-angle images, I've been on the boat when the only photographer able to get the shot carried a Canon G-series camera. And a nice image to boot. The quick and dirty on the PowerShot G11: It has the highly performing DIGIC 4 image processing system, 10.4 megapixels, RAW image mode, great low-light functionality, top-notch close focusing capability, live histograms and piles more. The Canon Fisheye FIX G11 housing boasts aluminum construction, 200 foot depth rating, and an option for a 165 degree wide angle lens. When the Canon G11 is combined with the Fisheye FIX G11 housing it becomes a powerhouse of a small camera system, with loads of professional-level features. Check it out at www.backscatter.com.
