Signature Dive Sites
Sheraton Caverns
Swim through lava tubes and archways swarming with green sea turtles.
Koloa Landing
Kauai’s go-to shore dive — and a popular night dive — with good reason: All manner of delicate marvels reside here, from snowflake morays to flying gurnards to nudibranchs.
Ni’ihau
The Forbidden Island swarms with big stuff — Hawaiian monk seals, gray reef, silky and sandbar sharks — and phantasmagoric little stuff too, in the nooks and caverns.
Spot These Animals
Hawaiian Monk Seal
They’re critically endangered, although on Ni’ihau, you’ll have no problem spotting Oscar, monk seal and resident show-off.
Bandit Angelfish
Endemic to Hawaii, but still quite rare off many of the other Hawaiian islands, in Kauai, you’ll see them on lots of dives.
Hawaiian Longfin Anthias
These beauties are also endemic, but they’re not easy to find, unless you’re diving off Ni’ihau’s Lehua Rock.
