Okay; full disclosure. Tom Morrisey is the executive editor of Sport Diver magazine. And as long as we're being transparent, he's bought us a lunch or two and keeps asking if we'd like another copy of his book (As if what? We're going to read it in stereo?).

But, that said, DARK FATHOM is an engrossing read—an action/suspense novel, partly set in Bermuda, partly set in Florida, partly set in California, and obviously written by somebody who has visited and dived all three of those places many, many times over. We aren't going to give away the plot here, but there's a missing plutonium bomb, a disgruntled NSA agent, and enough cliffhanging to fill Yosemite. Divers will love the accurate technical detail, adrenaline junkies will not be disappointed, and there's even a romantic element. We'd say the bases are pretty well covered here. Two fins up.
