The first underwater film, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, was shot in Nassau in 1915. Ever since, Holllywood producers have been returning to the Bahamas again and again for the same reason divers do — the spectacular visibility, incredible diversity and easy access. As a result, Nassau has become known as the Underwater Film Capital of the World, and Stuart Cove’s Underwater Productions has played host to dozens of movies, TV shows and commercials. In this video, explore some of these underwater movie sets alongside Sport Diver Editor David Espinosa.
