UTC UDI™ – An Essential Tool for Diving Communications and Safety
The 21st century is here, yet divers are still communicating with hand signals or noise makers, without any way to contact the surface or the boat above.
UDI™ is the first diving computer to feature SOS and SMS capabilities. It enables the diver to navigate and locate another diver or the boat, send messages and use it as an advanced diving computer – all in one single device. This innovative patented technology increases safety and decreases response time to in-water emergencies.
This reliable, working system is comprised of a UDI™ boat unit and one or more UDI™ wrist-mounted diver units. The device can be configured to allow up to 14 different divers on 4 different networks to communicate with the surface or with each other.
