A pair kayaking off the coast of Argentina are caught by surprise with the moment of a lifetime as a curious southern right whale, one of the rarest of all large whales, decides it wants to cuddle. Brief translation for those who don't speak Spanish: "Holy crap, I'm on a whale!"

Roughly 10,000 southern right whales live in the southern part of the Southern Hemisphere. The kayakers were near Puerto Madryn, in Patagonia, which is a marine sanctuary.

As you can see in the video, the kayakers paddled toward the pod of whales. According to what they reported later, they were then surrounded by the whales, with one dipping under the boat and lifting it above the water.

User gisela6652 uploaded the GoPro video to YouTube, with a post saying: “An incredible evening, lots of sun, kayaking and whale watching.
