Where to Go Scuba Diving with Frogfish

Jose Alejandro AlvarezFrogfish sightings are some of the most satisfying for divers interested in marine life.
Snooping for frogfish off Bonaire is like playing a game of underwater hide-and-seek, but the fish you’re looking for doesn’t look or act much like a fish.
Antennariidae’s modified pectoral fins function more like legs, and although frogfish can swim, they also can walk on the seafloor — making for a peculiar sight. They often blend into Bonaire’s colorful surroundings and can range from ⅛ -inch to 22 inches in length. Make sure to ask your dive master to point them out; they might just look like a lumpy sponge to the untrained eye.
