Every time guests arrive at Roatan’s CoCo View Resort, they’re greeted with a friendly “welcome home” from the staff, many of whom have been rolling out the hospitality for divers-turned-friends year after year. After all, more than a few of the resort’s staff and dive guides have been working here for decades. And the Coco Nut Club of frequent guests—those who have made at least five trips to the resort—counts more than 2,000 loyal members.
Arriving at CoCo View to enjoy Roatan's incredible reefs and walls feels like a homecoming for first-time and returning guests alike.

While many resorts claim to have shore diving on a house reef, CoCo View’s version is two coral-covered walls with great visibility that meet at a point right near the resort. Rays and turtles frequently pass through, and there are too many reef fish to name. Upright in 65 feet of water in the sandy channel between the walls, the Prince Albert wreck also beckons divers to swim out right from the resort.
The resort first impresses with its setting—a stunning island accessible only by private ferry and located on the south Caribbean coast of Roatan, the largest of Honduras’ beautiful Bay Islands. You’re far removed from the cruise ship crowds here.

In addition to unlimited 24/7 shore diving, divers can access Roatan’s marquee dive sites—including Calvin’s Crack and the vertical walls of Mary’s Place—in about 15 minutes aboard the resort’s fleet of spacious and comfortable boats. CoCo View’s dive boats all have a unique feature called a moon well that lets divers exit the water through an opening in the hull. Everything about the dive operation flows so seamlessly it’s easy to rack up 20 or more dives in a week (it’s no surprise CoCo View is sometimes called a “liveaboard on land”).
Back on dry land, CoCo View’s 29 welcoming accommodations include something for every traveler and budget. Choose from charming overwater bungalows and cabanas, oceanfront rooms, the two-bedroom Coco Casa Beach House or the three- bedroom Coco Villa Beach House, complete with a full kitchen.
Daily happy hours feature live music and complimentary appetizers, followed by dinners incorporating local ingredients at an ample buffet (with all meals included in your stay).
The memories you walk away with here will have much to do with CoCo View Resort’s friendly and dedicated staff. The team has refined the recipe for the perfect all-inclusive dive resort, combining the creature comforts of home with the friendliness of good neighbors, above-and-beyond service, incredible diving and plenty of entertainment and space to relax.
