Scuba App Review: Scuba Exam Lite

Scuba Exam Lite

Version: 1.0.2
Price: Free
Platform: iPhone, iPod & iPad

Description: Scuba Exam Lite is a cross between a scuba test and an open-water training manual.

Pros: This is a very well laid out app. It is easy to use and has loads of useful information as well as a practice test for open-water exams and Recreational Dive Planning sample questions.

Cons: For some people, having the timer on screen while taking the test might add unwanted pressure.

Bottom Line: Because of its narrow-focus name, I had no idea what to expect when I started playing with this app, but boy was I surprised! Scuba Exam Lite has a wealth of diving information in an easy-to-use format. Unlike the name implies, there is more to Scuba Exam Lite than just scuba-exam sample questions — it also has a “diving definitions” and “dive theory” section that reads like a PADI or NAUI textbook. I would recommend this app to anyone, whether you’re looking to get certified or just want to brush up on theory and test your knowledge.
