FEATURES
When we evaluated the rear-entry TX3 for 60 Second ScubaLab, we described the suit as “a lightweight neoprene drysuit that fits so snug you’d think you were wearing a wetsuit.” This 3 mm Superstretch suit is designed for all temperatures, and for anything above 62 degrees F., it requires no undergarments. Neck and wrist seals are made with heat-reflecting silver. Testers thought the 3 mm would be inadequate for the aquarium’s 50-degree water, but discovered the TX3 was as warm as it was comfortable (a 4.5 mm version of the suit is available). Testers found the fit near perfect, with no squeeze under any conditions. Unlike most suits, the TX3’s exhaust valve is mounted closer to the wrist than the shoulder, and it functioned superbly. With scores nearly identical to the XV4, the price earned this suit our Best Buy designation.

BOTTOM LINE
A great price for an excellent performing suit that just missed earning a Testers’ Choice award.
