The experience, from check-in to diving, is designed to be simple. Packages can include a full week of diving—providing you two morning and one afternoon dives per day, plus a night dive over the course of your stay. All meals plus alcoholic beverages are included, making this an easy choice.
Staff work behind the scenes aboard custom dive boats to set up your gear, so all guests need to do is show up. Every day leads to a new dive site that showcases the wows of Roatan, including famous sites such as West End Wall, known for a convergence of small currents that attracts bigger marine life including eagle rays, crevalle jacks and Atlantic spadefish. Dive sites such as Willie’s Wonder are ideal for newer divers to explore patch reefs with lobsters and spotted eels.
Most of the staff is local to the island, having grown up diving and navigating these walls, wrecks and countless swim-throughs. Mayan Divers is Roatan’s only Adaptive Dive Shop. In the past five years, they’ve successfully guided more than 40 adaptive dive groups, all supported by certified divemasters as Adaptive Dive Buddies.
