You won’t be just encountering marine life in the Philippines; you’ll be completely immersed in it. The numbers in this enchanting Pacific Ocean archipelago speak for themselves — it’s home to more than 3,500 fish species, 400 coral species, dozens of World War II wrecks and countless weird and wonderful macro creatures.

Aggressor’s yachts provide access to the archipelago’s most celebrated dive sites, many of which are unreachable via day boat. Philippines Aggressor and Philippines Aggressor II offer five itineraries in the heart of the Coral Triangle: Best of Visayas, Tubbataha, Best of the Philippines (Tubbataha-Visayas Transition), Coron and Coron-Bataan. Each route shows off the best of the region, from pristine corals and macro creatures to sharks and World War II-era wrecks.

Boxed Callout

Vacation Vibe:

Exotic, pristine and endlessly diverse with technicolor corals, muck-diving marvels, sharks, wrecks, mango-tinged sunsets, and warm hospitality.

Best of Visayas Charters

Beauty and bounty is on full display during the Best of Visayas charters. Divers will find soft corals, thresher sharks, huge schools of sardines and jacks, turtles and on occasion, whale sharks.

Macro lovers will appreciate the crew pointing out critters such as waspfish and ghost pipefish.

The Tubbataha Itinerary

Sharks punch up the thrill factor during the Tubbataha itinerary — whitetips, blacktips, gray reef and silky sharks are found here, along with turtles and rays. Diving occurs around two stunning atolls, North and South, as well as Jessie Beazley Reef.

Want a taste of both itineraries? Enjoy the Best of the Philippines on a 10-night/11-day transition charter as the yacht makes its seasonal relocation journey between the Visayas port in Cebu and the Tubbataha Reefs port in Puerto Princesa.

The Coron Itinerary

For wreck divers, the Coron itinerary is the pinnacle of Philippines diving. Along with reefs and walls, Coron Bay is home to historically significant World War II shipwrecks, including the Irako and Kogyo Maru, sunk during U.S. raids of the Japanese fleet in 1944.

This itinerary also includes diving in Apo Reef Natural Park, where divers are surrounded by schools of fusiliers as they drift over bommies of hard and soft corals.

The 10-night extended Coron-Bataan itinerary combines the Coron wrecks with diving around Verde Island off the southern tip of Batangas. Here, currents bring large schools of fish and impressive pelagic life, including giant grouper, barracuda, Napoleon wrasse and jacks in tornado-like schools.

The Best Destination for Underwater Photographers

If you haven’t taken up underwater photography before now, the Philippines is the perfect location to start. The Aggressor crew provides excellent support for photographers, including expert advice on finding rare creatures. You might spot mimic octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, ornate ghost pipefish and more.
